Family of the Month – January 2016:
Matt and Jane Surrell are selected as the Family of the Month for January 2016 by Knights of Columbus Council 689. They are members of St. Michael Parish and In July 2016 they will celebrate their wedding anniversary after being married there thirty years ago. They were Blessed with two sons, Aaron (deceased) and Mark.
Jane serves St. Michael Parish as a member of the Development Committee.
Since joining the Knights in 2013, Matt has been an ardent supporter for worthy causes including Catholic Radio, Rosary Prayer service, St. Vincent de Paul, and seminarians. He currently serves as Deputy Grand Knight and program chairman. At St. Michael Parish he is a member of the Pastoral Council and serves as a Mass Cross Bearer.

Knight of the Month – January 2016:
Don Koskey has been selected as Knight of the Month for January.
Initiated in 1959, Don is a 4th degree Knight and as a nonagenarian (90+ years old), is a regular, contributing attendee at council meetings. As Treasury Secretary, Don maintained precise and accurate records, and he served several terms as trustee. Brother Koskey can be regularly found serving breakfast at the K of C breakfasts, and quietly oversees the work behind the scenes. He has served St. Peter Cathedral on the altar for an uncounted number of years.
