Family of the Month – December 2015:

Families build a strong foundation of faith as they pray, attend Mass and spend time together.

For the month of December, the Knights of Columbus recognizes the Jim and Gail Herman family of St. Michael Parish in Marquette. Jim and Gail have been married for 25 years and have two children, Isaac and Theresa. Isaac attends MTU studying computer sciences. Theresa plans to study Media Arts after high school graduation next year.

Gail has served the Marquette area as a social worker to help improve the quality of life for those with disabilities and for the aged. She has also led the Marian devotion and consecration, 33 Days to Morning Glory, for the past several years for both St. Michael and St. Peter parishes.

Jim serves as maintenance director for local senior housing, serves as parish usher and has been a Knight since 1978.
