The December 2016 meeting is slated to begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holy day of obligation. Don’t forget to go to Mass before attending this important meeting! At it we’ll make further plans for the Dec. 20 special meeting, “Service, Our Gift.”
As many of you might know, our Council is one of the most active in the Upper Peninsula, but are you aware of all of the opportunities for service that we offer? We will have presentations from Bishop John Doerfler, Matt Surrell, Grand Knight; Michael Prokopowicz, District Deputy; John Kraft, Field Agent, and other council members. There will be information supplied by Care Clinic, Catholic Radio, the Fourth Degree and our nursing home visitation programs. There will be additional information on a number of other programs. Please bring a non-perishable item for donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and encourage your spouses to attend. After all we are a Catholic Fraternal Family Organization.
